Sardine-ed trains are always the one that forces SMRT to push out train after train every few minutes
I used to wait for a train for around 5 - 8 minutes if I couldn't make a run for it
But now, if you've decided to join the power pack people that wake up early to rush to work, you'll realise that trains come every minute or two

I was tired of traveling to school everyday with each trip costing me 30 minutes
I laid back against the wall as seats were all taken
I closed my eyes as I was hell tired and the only thing that could keep me awake would be my MP3 playing all my favourite songs

5 minutes into the song, I suddenly heard a loud bang
It didn't sound like any song that I like that could give off that kind of sound
I began to ponder what could make that sound

" ... is my MP3 faulty? or was it my headphone? "

The loud bang got louder and clearer each time
I got a shock of my life when the bang was so clear that it sounded like a gunshot
I opened my eyes immediately and found people screaming and running for their lives
But where could they run when the train is moving?

Before I could recover from my shockness, I got pinned down by a masked guy
He was speaking in some alienic language that I couldn't make out
It sounded like some Middle East language

When I was back to my senses, I knew I was in deep trouble
They must be some terrorists trying to negotiate with the U.S., U.N. or whatever powerful country
My mind isn't right
I knew I could just die within seconds because they're well known for their cold-blooded execution method

How do I get off this mess?
Everyone was ordered to stay down
I lifted my head a little and tried to analyze the situation
The only people left standing are either with guns or hostage being used for negotiation

The feeling is beyond terrified
Its something you thought it would never happen to you

Every quarter of an hour passed and their demands not given in, they would execute one hostage

As time passes gradually, I see more motionless bodies lying on the cold ground
What did they do to deserve such cruel death?
Why must innocent people be the ones to carry the mistake done by the politicians?
Thoughts pour in every second as tears trickled down my cheek

* R-i-n-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-! *
" There goes the phone again! "
" I prayed "
" Hoping that we would be set free "
" Hoping that no one would be hurt again in this tragedy "

Then there was this big commotion while the phone continues ringing

" What aren't they answering the phone? "
" What are they arguing about? "
" Whats with the Middle East language and English mixing together? "
" Do they even understand each other? "

Random thoughts flooded my whirling mind
Question marks adds to the flavour of it

After a few minutes the commotion died down
It seems like they've come to a conclusion already
But it still doesn't make sense because the phone is still ringing

One of them was walking really fast towards my direction as if looking for a potential hostage
No, wait! We're already hostages =\

" Oh man! "
" He's walking towards me "
" I think I'm done for! "

I shut my eyes tight hoping I won't be the next target
But I was so damn wrong

He picked me up violently with a pistol pointing right under my chin
And said angrily,

" Can you fucking turn off your alarm NOW !? "

Yeah, if you've guessed it
I was dreaming
I woke up breaking the cold sweat and had a good laugh (:
